Eternal
Salvation
God saw that everyone
had sinned, and that because of that sin, they
were on their way to eternal hell, destruction
and separation from Heaven and God.
So out of His immense
love for man He sent Jesus to suffer and die upon
the cross thereby removing our sins from us.
He then went into
hell itself to take our place, thus paying the
penalty of death for our sins, and by doing so,
He obtained for us Eternal Redemption.
Then, because in truth, Jesus was Himself without
sin, He was raised from the dead by the Glory of
God and exalted to the right hand of God in
Heaven.
There, He appeared in the presence of God to seal
the redemptive work that He accomplished on our
behalf; and to be a guarantee for us, in the
sight of God, that we could receive the full
benefits of His salvation.
The Bible says that
if we believe with all of our hearts that Jesus
did indeed do this for us, and if we invite Him
into our lives to be our Savior and Lord -
"We shall be Saved!"
This means that we
now KNOW that we truly belong to God, and that we
now KNOW that we will live forever in Heaven with
Jesus and God our Heavenly Father!
